  • FRANCHISING BEYOND BORDERS continues its expansion in the United States
    International Franchise Expo - New York will be the event at which Spanish franchises will have the opportunity to show their business concept to thousands of international buyers.

    In the agreement reached with MFV Expositions, the participation of American franchises is also being considered at the twenty-fifth edition of EXPOFRANQUICIA, the leading event in the sector, organised by IFEMA.

    FRANCHISING BEYOND BORDERS, the platform developed and promoted by IFEMA to channel the international expansion of Spanish franchises, will reach the US market next May, coinciding with the International Franchise Expo - New York, one of the most important fairs in the United States, which is supported by the US Department of Commerce.
  • MAC Fruit Attraction announces its third edition in Cairo
    The fair, which has seen two editions with positive results, will once again have its annual appointment from December 8 to 10, 2018, as part of FoodAfrica

    With an increasingly impressive trajectory, Mac Fruit Attraction will celebrate its third edition from December 8 to 10, in Cairo, as part of FoodAfrica. Organized by IFEMA and CESENA FIERA, two of the trade show operators from the main producing and exporting countries of fruit and vegetables -Spain and Italy- Mac Fruit Attraction will once again contribute to the positioning and international professional network of fruit and vegetable companies thanks to direct access to new strategic markets, which will allow them to contact local operators as well as operators from the local area of influence.
  • At FITUR, IFEMA and ACTIDEA present the two Baja California Sur Convention Centres that will start operations on 19 March
    · The aim of the two centres, located in Los Cabos and La Paz, is to promote meetings tourism in a predominantly tourist area.

    · IFEMA will offer its experience and advice on the setting up of these venues and on attracting international events
    Institución Ferial de Madrid and Fiera Rome are joining forces to organize the first Salone del Veicolo D'occasione

    On 15 December in Rome, IFEMA and Fiera Roma presented their first joint project as organisers of the Salone del Veicolo D'occasione, the Italian version of one of Spain’s most successful shows (the VO Show), which will be held from 8 to 11 March in Rome, sponsored by ACI, Automobile Club d'Italia.

    An initiative that opens the doors to new ways for franchise companies interested in exporting their business concept to take part in trade fairs abroad

    Feria Internacional de Franquicias, FIF CHILE 2018, in Santiago de Chile; Vietnam International RetailTech+Franchise Show, in Ho Chi Minh City, and Franchise & Retail Forum, FRF, in Casablanca, are some of the fairs chosen for the project launch

    IFEMA’s International Expansion department has implemented the FRANCHISING BEYOND BORDERS project, an initiative aimed at promoting the internationalisation of Spanish franchises. The project opens the doors to new ways of taking part in trade fairs abroad for franchise companies interested in exporting their business concept.
    IFEMA’s permanent commitment to supporting the industries represented at its fairs thus highlights the Spanish franchise system and the enormous potential for growth that Spanish brands have. This is revealed by the AEF (Spanish Franchising Association) report, which shows the progressive growth in the number of Spanish franchises operating around the world. According to data from 2016, there were 313 national networks in 137 countries, with a total of 21,730 establishments.
  • SEPIE and IFEMA launch their international "Study in Spain” project in Colombia
    The event will be held in Medellín on 13 March, Barranquilla on 15 March and Bogotá on 17 March.

    In line with the “Study in Spain” fairs that SEPIE successfully held last year (in Morocco, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay), the aim of this initiative is to promote the potential of Spain and its network of universities and educational centres as a go-to destination for Colombian students.

    The project is organised by IFEMA and promoted by SEPIE (Spanish Service for the Internationalisation of Education) with the support of COLFUTURO.
  • EXPOSEGURIDAD – SICUR Latinoamérica 2017 to coincide with the American Police Community Summit, AMERIPOL
    The 2nd International Summit of Scientific Criminal Analysis will also take place at the Espacio Riesco in Santiago de Chile from 23 to 25 October 2017.

    FISA, IFEMA, and the Carabineros de Chile are uniting to create the biggest security event in Latin America.
  • IFEMA reaches an agreement with Italian Exhibition Group IEG to drive its international expansion activities

    IEG, the result of a merger between the Rimini and Vicenza trade fair sites, has more of its own trade fairs than any other operator in Italy

    Both organisers will work on joint internationalisation initiatives, primarily in Asia and Latin America
    IFEMA recently signed a cooperation agreement with Bulgaria’s main trade fair operator and events venue, IEC Expo Center in Sofia. The facilities opened in 2001, and every year it hosts 35 trade fairs for different sectors with different formats, on its 42,000-square-metres of indoor exhibition space.
  • Countdown to the second edition of Mac Fruit Attraction Cairo
    With 88 participating exhibitors, this trade fair, organised by IFEMA, Cesena Fiera and IFP, will take place in Cairo from 22 - 24 April in the framework of FoodAfrica.

    Everything is ready to go for the second edition of Mac Fruit Attraction Mena, the global brand for the fruit and vegetable sector. The trade show will take place from 22 to 24 April in Cairo with 88 exhibitors, as part of FoodAfrica, and will attract more than 250 companies from 23 countries.
