  • ePower&Building THE SUMMIT 2017 looks to the future of the construction sector
    More than 50 speakers will participate in the 1st European Construction, Habitability, Economy and Leadership Congress on 22 and 23 November, at Feria de Madrid
    Madrid, 13 November 2017. ePower&Building THE SUMMIT 2017 responds to the construction industry’s need for new business models, and looks at the changes taking place as an opportunity. THE SUMMIT will deal with all aspects of sustainability in buildings, cities, people, the economy and industry. The 1st European Construction, Habitability, Economy and Leadership Congress, ePower&Building THE SUMMIT 2017, organised by IFEMA, will take place on 22 and 23 November 2017, at Feria de Madrid.

    The Congress will encompass all sector agents, designers, builders, researchers, developers, finance companies, factories and all levels of government. The 50 guest speakers possess real experience in these new fields: from nearly zero-consumption buildings to eco-cities where millions of people will live in China.

    ePower&Building THE SUMMIT looks at the sector's agenda in 2030 around the world, to devise the itinerary that each company, each studio, each city, must devise today. Those participating in the Summit, join the conversation with the future.
  • INVESTOUR 2018 to address fostering tourism development, investment opportunities and Biodiversity
    In the context of the 38th edition of the International Tourism Fair of Madrid - FITUR 2018, the 9th edition of INVESTOUR will be held on 18 January 2018 in Madrid, Spain. As in previous years, the event will be organized in two sessions, (i) the round tables and (ii) the B2B Meetings. For this edition, the roundtables sessions will be structured around two main themes; (i) Brand Africa: Fostering Tourism development and investment opportunities and (ii) Biodiversity as a driver for sustainable tourism: the importance of effective community involvement.
  • ExpoOptica renews its collaboration agreement with the General Council of Colleges of Opticians-Optometrists
    The event has ratified its agreement with an organisation that represents all the professional Optical-Opthalmological Associations. All the new features introduced in 2016, which aim to encourage synergies between ExpoOptica and the International Congress of Optomoetry, Contactology and Opthamic Optics, OPTOM, which will hold its 25th edition at the fair, will continue.

    The event, organised by IFEMA, will take place from 13 to 15 April 2018 at IFEMA-Feria de Madrid.
  • IFEMA is getting ready for the 8th edition of 100x100 MASCOTA 2018, Spain’s biggest pet exhibition for a public audience
    The event promotes responsible pet ownership, pet care and wellbeing, coexistence and adoption
    A total of 27,286 visitors attended the show in 2017, and 5,000 pets took part in the activities. There were 116 participating companies and 65 animal protection bodies from all over Spain showed up

    IFEMA is working with animal protection organisations and institutions to promote health, care, wellbeing and responsible pet ownership at the 8th 100x100 MASCOTA 2018 Show, which will take place on 28 and 29 April 2018 in Halls 12 and 14 at Feria de Madrid. The fair has been moved to a new spot, one month earlier than its usual dates, to May, which will become its regular appointment until 2020, when it will host the World Dog Show, which it was appointed to organise by the Spanish Royal Canine Society (Real Sociedad Canina de España-RSCE), at the General Assembly of the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (F.C.I.) in Milan in June, in which 15,000 of more than 300 different breeds took part.


  • Salón Look reasserts its leading position and ability in the Iberian Pensinsula as its 20th edition comes to a close
    The fair received more than 65,000 professionals, of whom more than 2,000 came from abroad

    More than 400 exhibitors and 1,300 Spanish and international brands took part in this edition, occupying five halls (2, 3, 4, 5 and 14.1) at IFEMA, one more than in previous editions

    The fair activities programme had an excellent response. Many of the activities saw record visitor numbers and were fully booked weeks in advance

    For the 2018 edition, the fair will look at how to better distribute spaces to satisfy all of the sectors represented
  • TRAFIC 2017 ends with a very positive outcome: more brands and sectors, more visitors and more international participation
    The Exhibition, organised by IFEMA, will be held from 24 to 27 October

    The 15th edition of TRAFIC, the International Safe and Sustainable Mobility Exhibition, closed its doors on 27 October after recording a total of 4,412 visitors. Highlights included the new Electric and Efficient Mobility Area and a greater international presence. Professional visitors came from 33 different countries (an 18% increase compared to the last edition) headed by Portugal, cementing the Exhibition as the leading event in the sector in the Iberian Peninsula. In the same vein, in relation to the 140 participating brands, 13.5% more than the last edition, there were 23.5% more international exhibitors coming from 17 countries.
  • VIVE LA MOTO, THE BIG MOTORCYCLE TRADE SHOW, IS COMING BACK TO MADRID
    Jointly organised by IFEMA and KANDO and backed by ANESDOR, it will be held from 5 to 8 April at IFEMA

    The motorbike sector will be back in Madrid in full force in 2018 with one of its most emblematic events: Vive la Moto, Madrid's Big Motorbike Trade Show, which will take place from 5 to 8 April at IFEMA. This event, jointly organised by IFEMA and KANDO, is backed by ANESDOR, the Spanish National Association of Motorbike Sector Businesses, which represents over 96% of the Spanish motorbike market.
  • FITUR 2018 advances the contents of its Fiturtech Y section
    This section, organised in collaboration with the Instituto Tecnológico Hotelero –ITH, will host in Hall 10 of FITUR at Feria de Madrid four specialised forums on the management of business, destinations, sustainability and future trends in the tourism industry, with technology as the connecting thread

    In addition, at techYhotel you will be able to learn about and interact with the latest innovations in hotel fit-outs

    FITUR 2018 will be staged from 17 to 21 January at Feria de Madrid, organised by IFEMA
  • The results of Fruit Attraction were even better than expected, since the event drew more than 68,000 trade professionals from 110 countries
    Organised by IFEMA and FEPEX, the trade fair took place from 18 to 20 October.
    A total of 19,947 foreign trade professionals registered for the trade fair, representing an increase of more than 97%

    More than 1,500 exhibitor companies from 34 countries took part in the 9th edition, an increase of 20% compared to last year

    Fruit Attraction 2017 is over, and the 9th edition proved that this has become of the main international events in the fruit and vegetable sector, in a key month for business meetings between the offer and demand. A total of 68,161 professionals from 110 countries took part (17% more than last year) with 1,500 companies from 34 countries, an increase of 20%. The trade fair fulfilled its objective of creating an effective business scenario for agents in the sector. Organised by IFEMA and FEPEX, Fruit Attraction 2017 took place from 18 to 20 October in Halls 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 at Feria de Madrid. This was the biggest and most comprehensive edition ever, covering 45,000 square metres –an increase of 10% over its predecessor
  • VENDIBÉRICA 2017 attracted a record number of participants, chalking up 9,000 trade professionals and 150 exhibitors
    The synergies resulting from holding the event to coincide with FRUIT ATTRACTION and EAT2GO enabled the organisers to attract record numbers of operators from the vending, public vending and horeca channel.

    The vending sector’s leading event took place on 18, 19 and 20 October, achieving enormous success among trade professionals. VENDIBÉRICA was scheduled to coincide with EAT2GO, the first monographic event for the Food Delivery and Takeaway industries. A total of 150 companies from seven countries - Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal and the United Kingdom - took part, giving the show an international flavour. There was an overall improvement in participation figures, which were up 54% since the last edition of VENDIBÉRICA in 2015. Occupation was up by 50.28%, with 5,500 m2 of exhibition space. Trade visitor numbers were also noteworthy, with 9,000 attendees from 45 countries, or 30% more than those registered at the 2015 edition.
