  • FITUR 2018 advances the contents of its Fiturtech Y section
    This section, organised in collaboration with the Instituto Tecnológico Hotelero –ITH, will host in Hall 10 of FITUR at Feria de Madrid four specialised forums on the management of business, destinations, sustainability and future trends in the tourism industry, with technology as the connecting thread

    The Asian powerhouse will have an important showcase for promoting the destination by linking its brand to FITUR. India will thus exhibit tourism as one of its leading-edge sectors with some of the highest business possibilities
    With 7% economic growth, India presents a key market for worldwide investments and economic relations

    The upcoming staging of the International Tourism Trade Fair is presenting India as the FITUR partner country. This global power is a rising destination for business, trade and tourism. We thus establish a broad field of joint action in the most significant spheres of representation and communication of this major event in the tourism industry which, organised by IFEMA, will be staged from 17 to 21 January at Feria de Madrid.

    This collaboration provides a close tie by linking the India brand to the International Tourism Trade Fair, allowing the new FITUR partner, whose presence has increased more than 30% at the Fair, to make the most of the event’s exceptional promotional potential and capitalise on it. In this way the Asian country, under the slogan of ‘Incredible India’, will enjoy an important international showcase for promoting the destination.

    The International Tourism Trade Fair is adding to its comprehensive content offering with the new monographic section FITUR Festivals, organised in collaboration with Spain Live Music, the Spanish Music Tourism Association, for the purpose of creating new tourist networks through the opportunities opened up by the world of live music and to promote and advance the festivals and destinations that host it.

  • IFEMA and ITH renew their collaboration for the next three FITUR stagings
    IFEMA/FITUR and Instituto Tecnológico Hotelero, ITH, have this morning renewed the collaboration agreement to organise the specialised FiturtechY section that forms part of the International Tourism Trade Fair, which is due to be staged at Feria de Madrid from 18 to 22 January 2018, as well as the 2018 and 2020 events. The document was signed by the Managing Director of IFEMA, Eduardo López-Puertas, and by the President of ITH, Juan Molas, who was accompanied at the signing by its Managing Director, Álvaro Carrillo de Albornoz.
  • FITUR recognition of the tourism industry
    24 May saw the presentation  of the FITUR 2017 Awards, which promote excellence and innovation in companies and institutions through the recognition of the Best Stands, the Best Active Tourism Products and the best tourism-related academic research work

    FITUR, the International Tourism Trade Fair, has presented the awards for Best Stands, 22nd Active Tourism and Tribuna FITUR-Jorge Vila Fradera, which correspond to their latest edition. The announcement of the awards took place within the context of the Trade Fair, which was staged from 18 to 22 January at Feria de Madrid. With these awards, FITUR seeks to promote excellence and innovation in tourism by recognising the efforts of companies, professionals and researchers in enhancing the industry’s image, creating new products that diversify the offering and contribute to sustainable development, and to conduct research in order to drive forward the evolution of this market through knowledge and analysis.
