    FRUIT ATTRACTION 2017’s Organisers’ Committee has confirmed its excellent expectations in terms of participation, while putting the finishing touch to the programme of parallel activities

    The Organisers’ Committee of FRUIT ATTRACTION, the International Trade Show for the Fruit and Vegetable Industry, met yesterday in Madrid and confirmed the excellent level of participation expected for this, the ninth edition, which will take place from 18 to 7 October. More than 1,500 exhibitors will take part, that’s up 20% in comparison to last year’s event. The Committee also finalised the programme of parallel activities, among which are Global Fresh Market Forum: meeting with Brazil and China, and seminars dealing with specific fruits: Stone Fruit Attraction, and lettuces: Lettuce Attraction.

    The technical seminar, organised by the Mollar Pomegranate from Elche Protected Designation of Origin, will cover the UK pomegranate market, varieties and types of pomegranate and new marketing trends.
    The pomegranate will be one of the star products of the ninth edition of Fruit Attraction, which will be held from 18 to 20 October at IFEMA.

    The lettuce, one of the stars of this edition, is the most frequently consumed vegetable in the world. Spain exported a total of 743.130 tons in 2016 and is the world’s leading lettuce producer, dispatching this vegetable to 53 countries

    The ninth edition of FRUIT ATTRACTION will host a conference entitled “LETTUCE ATTRACTION: the world of leafy vegetables”. The event will take place on 18 October in Hall 5 at Ifema (Fruit Forum / 16.00) and is organised by the Association of Producers-Exporters of Fruits and Vegetables from the Region of Valencia and its member companies (Proexport).
  • FRUIT ATTRACTION launches the 6th edition of PASARELA INNOVA
    This area of the trade show will shine the spotlight on the latest varieties of fruits and vegetables presented by exhibiting companies, and innovations from the auxiliary industry launched during the last two years.

    This year’s edition will be housed in the connecting hub between Halls 6 and 8, and will feature a total of 34 fruit and vegetable products

    Fruit Attraction, the International Trade Show for the Fruit and Vegetable Industry, organised by FEPEX and IFEMA, will take place from 18 to 20 October and will present the Pasarela Innova for the sixth consecutive year, an area of the exhibition for showing new fruit and vegetable varieties and novelties from the Auxiliary Industry that have been launched within the last two years. Pasarela Innova is yet another tool that the trade fair offers exhibitors to ensure they get the most from their investment.

    FRUIT ATTRACTION 2017

    Around 30 companies have chosen to exhibit at Smart Agro at Fruit Attraction 2017, a new area in Hall 8 that will drive technology, knowledge and innovation for more precise, efficient, profitable and competitive agriculture.

    From 18 to 20 September, exhibitors participating in Smart Agro will offer solutions from farming to final marketing to consumers: Apps, drones, software / hardware, IoT, BigData, ERPs, monitoring, automation, robotics, sensors, field notebooks, digitalisation, with the aim of increasing productivity, food quality and safety; to improve added value, equity and the flexibility of the agri-food chain; efficient and sustainable use of natural resources; as well as to improve strategic intelligence systems and aid in decision-making.
  • “Lettuce Attraction” will bring the main lettuce and leafy vegetable suppliers to FRUIT ATTRACTION
    The ninth edition of FRUIT ATTRACTION, which will be held from 18 to 20 October, will feature a conference entitled “Lettuce Attraction: el mundo de las verduras de hoja” (Lettuce Attraction: the world of leafy vegetables), which will attract professionals connected to the world of lettuces and leafy vegetables. The purpose of the initiative is to address the latest trends and challenges facing a product widely accepted at the “queen of salads”.

    The conference, organised by the Association of Producers-Exporters of Fruits and Vegetables from the Region of Valencia (Proexport) and its member companies, will feature international speakers. The event is aimed at producers, exporters, importers, retailers, researchers, seed companies, food processors, chefs and specialised journalists. The purpose is to draw attention to the culinary, gastronomic and nutritional value of lettuce and leafy vegetable production in Spain.     The awards ceremony will take place on 19 October as part of Fruit Attraction 2017

    These prizes are sponsored by Fruit Attraction, and include a specific category for articles on the subject of fruit and vegetables.

    Madrid, 28 June 2017. The Spanish Association of Farming Journalists (Asociación de Periodistas Agroalimentarios de España (APAE)), in collaboration with Fruit Attraction, has called the seventh edition of its journalism awards. For the third time, articles will be accepted in two categories: a general category, with a first prize of 1,000 euros for the best agriculture, livestock and/or food text, and a special category, consisting of a 1,000-euro prize for the best article specifically about fruit and vegetables.

    Fruit Attraction, the International Trade Show for the Fruit and Vegetable Industry, has launched its International Hosted Buyers’ Programme. This initiative invites national production companies participating in the trade show to earmark foreign buyers to receive invitations to the show with a view to boosting their businesses.
